Federal Tax Identification Number: Also Known as an Employer Identification Number, this is the equivalent of a social security number for an individual. This number is required for companies that have employees or business owners that do not want to use their personal social security number for identification purposes. Cost ($59.99)

California State Sales Tax Collection Permit: You must obtain a seller’s permit if you: Cost ($99.99)

  • Are engaged in business in California
  • Intend to sell or lease tangible personal property that would ordinarily be subject to sales tax if sold at retail (this includes wholesalers, manufactures and retailers.)
  • Will make sales for a temporary period, normally lasting no longer than 90 days at one or more locations (for example, fireworks booth, Christmas tree lots, garage sale)
